What to put on the page, and what to leave off
The QR always opens the same page. What changes is what that person sees: text, a form, or both.
What the finder sees
On the free plan the page is public. People read the text you write, and there is no form. If you want a reply, the text has to say how: a phone number or an email. Anyone who scans can read it.
Pro has three modes:
- Public: the text is visible. If you turn messages on, the form sits below it.
- Private: the text stays hidden. The finder can write to you. The message lands in your account and, when email is set up, in your inbox too.
- Password: the text opens with a key. Someone without the key can still write to you.
What to leave off the label
- Home address, entrance, floor, or building code.
- A child's name, school, or routine: what time they leave, which way they walk.
- Passwords, PINs, ID numbers, or payment details.
- The internal title. Only you see it, so you can tell the suitcase from the laptop. It is not printed on the label.
Text that does the job
Someone who finds an object needs three things: that it has an owner, that they can reach that owner, and what to do with it meanwhile. Your life story is not one of them. A suitcase, a set of keys, or a collar each need different words. The rule stays the same.

Create the page
Give it an internal title. Only you see it, and it tells you which object this is.
Choose who can read it
Public if the text can sit in the open. Private or password-protected, on Pro, if the contact details should stay hidden.
Write the minimum
Owner, how to get in touch, and what to do with the object. No address, no passwords, no details about a child.
Stick the code on
Download the QR, or write the same link onto an NFC tag. On Pro, the five-character short code is there when someone has to type it.
자주 묻는 질문
- Can I change the text after the label is stuck on?
- Yes. The QR points at the page, not at a photo of the text. Save the edit and the next scan shows it.
- Can the free plan be private?
- No. Private mode, a password, the short code, messages, and stats are on Pro. Free is one public page.
- Who reads the messages?
- You do, in your account. When email is set up, a copy arrives there too. The finder does not see your email address on the page.
